Make sure that after you check out their homepages you take a look at their portfolios. Then the next step would be to contact some of the companies that they have done work with in the past. What you are trying to find out is how they handled the clients needs. Once you find some companies to interview, go get a face to face with the design firm. You are looking to gather from the sit down with them, weather or not you like the people that you will be giving your money to.
