A great logo gives you the opportunity differentiate yourself from your competitors. A logo is something people will see and if they recognise will straight away have preconceptions about your product or service. It needs to represents what your company stands for and also be easily recognisable. Definitely a very tricky thing when there is thousands of the other business logos out there.

I only though it would take me a few hours? I had some ideas in my head and started having a play around in Photoshop and really struggle to get anything that caught the eye and represented anything to do with my business. All the logo I produced were cheesy and naff. I realised quite quickly that logo design is definitely a precise art and I was going to have to do a bit more research before I was going to have any luck.

There are many websites out there where you can buy tutorials for logo design so I tried a few of those and they just weren’t worth the money. Tutorials that I tried were not what I expected, they were far too basic and they didn’t actually provided useful information on to develop a creative business logo. I certainly would not recommend going down this road if you are in similar boat. The majority I found were not worth the money and a bit of a scam so watch out.

I started researching into websites showing logo samples. I thought maybe if I take inspiration from some good designs this would help my creativity. It didn’t! I finally decided to contact a professional logo designer to find out much this would cost and time scales. I shocked by how reasonable the price was and also the speed in which they could produce the logos. A number of logo’s were produced for me to look at they were all fantastic, they looked unique and creative! I thought they would struggle to design a logo that represented the message of my business however they did. 

So unless you are a talented designer leave it to the professionals, trust me!
